LUNAR

Meet Lunar, the singer who will take you through all of the stages and feels of your adolescent relationships- including the breakup!

Eclipsing what it means to be young and in love, Lunar takes us on a journey through her music from the toxicity of being a dependent to finding solace after heartbreak.

Her introductory song ‘Glad You Stayed’tells the turbulent story of a young relationship frequently under the strain of persistent arguments. Despite the obvious inevitability of the relationship ending, the songstress describes her love as an addiction, citing this as the reason for her unwillingness to leave what seems to be a rather disruptive period in her life.

Resonating with the young adult audience her music is aimed at through her violently honest lyrics, Lunar lays bare her emotions to tell the tragically beautiful story of young love and all that goes with it.

Her writing style is uniquely situational, with her personal charm seeping through unlike many in the industry today, this arguably is because of a profound love for poetry which acted as an introduction to her songwriting.

“I first got into music through poetry. I began writing poems when I was younger, and this eventually turned into writing songs. I've always loved music and writing, so it made sense that I was inevitably going to write music.”

Lunar manages to dominate various styles of the pop genre, experimenting with fun loving tracks like ‘Pretty Face’ that exudes the typical fascination of young love. The track proved an outstanding hit on the blogosphere and saw highstreet titans H&M and Topshop scout it for their instore playlist.

Using synth heavy production filled with lyrical sass and grit (and the odd swear word),  Lunar gifts us with her latest creation ‘Miss U No More’. Empowering her listeners and young women alike, she is independent with a new vibe that is stronger than her previous tracks.

Each track the songstress releases tells us a new part of her life and despite her identity still remaining a mystery we can’t help but feel like we know her through her willingness to be personal and raw.

Looking to the future, Lunar is currently working with producers to release new tracks this summer with the possibility of releasing an EP later this year. We look forward to hearing the next chapter of her life.
